Payment notes

GrowersHouse publishes a page titled "Pay with USDC & Cryptocurrency at Checkout" that says, in its own words, "We now offer USDC as a cryptocurrency payment option at checkout on the Base network." The steps are the standard Shopify ones: select USDC at checkout, connect a wallet, confirm the transaction in the wallet and wait for the on-screen confirmation. The store runs on Shopify, and this is Shopify Payments' USDC integration; Shopify's own documentation lists five networks and says it sponsors the gas, but the merchant's page names only Base and tells you to arrive with USDC there, so that is what we record. The same page adds that Shopify "can also support additional cryptocurrency payment methods through approved third-party crypto payment providers" and that what you see "can vary" — we have no evidence any such provider is enabled, so nothing beyond USDC is listed.

What the merchant actually says

The page is called “Pay with USDC & Cryptocurrency at Checkout” and it is unusually specific. USDC is offered “on the Base network (built on top of Ethereum)”. You “need USDC on Base”, and if your funds are elsewhere “you may need to move or swap them within your wallet before paying”. The checkout is the Shopify one: pick USDC, connect a wallet, confirm, wait.

That makes this the best-documented Shopify USDC merchant in the directory. The other three — Nutrient Farm, Out of the Grey Coffee and SoftwareKeep — are listed on the strength of the payment-icon strip Shopify renders from a store’s settings, which is real evidence but not a sentence a merchant chose to publish.

Why we list Base and only Base

Shopify’s own documentation says its USDC checkout accepts five networks. GrowersHouse’s page says Base, three times, and tells you to arrive with USDC there. When the merchant and the platform differ, the merchant’s stated requirement is what a customer will act on, so the record follows it. If you hold USDC on Ethereum or Polygon, the safe reading is: move it to Base first, or expect to. The Base hub covers what that involves.

The page also mentions that “approved third-party crypto payment providers” may surface other coins at checkout “depending on what’s enabled”. We could not confirm any is enabled and do not record one.

What you are buying

Grow lights, nutrients, tents, fans, controllers and the rest of an indoor garden, from a supplier that has been at it since 2011 and runs stores in Tucson and Phoenix alongside the web shop. Orders ship internationally, though free shipping is domestic, some products cannot leave the US, and warranties are honoured in the US only. Nutrients, soils, media and pesticides are not returnable, which is worth knowing before paying in a currency with no chargeback route.

The strongest kind of evidence this directory sees for a Shopify store: a page on the merchant's own domain, written by the merchant, that names the coin and the network. It says "We now offer USDC as a cryptocurrency payment option at checkout on the Base network", repeats "To pay, you'll need USDC on Base", and walks through the checkout. We did not reach the payment step of a live order. The store's theme does not render Shopify's payment-icon strip, so the `pi-usdc` signal we use on other Shopify stores was unavailable and unnecessary here. Shopify's help centre supplies the platform behaviour — gas sponsorship, no disputes, and a five-network list of which the merchant chooses to name only Base. Company details (founded 2011, Tucson and Phoenix locations, international shipping limits, returns) come from the merchant's About, international-shipping and returns pages.
