Affiliate Disclosure
Some links here earn us a commission. Here is exactly how that works and what it does not change.
Last updated
Some links on StablecoinSpend are affiliate links. If you follow one and sign up or buy, we may receive a commission from the merchant or provider. It costs you nothing extra.
This page explains how we handle that, because a directory funded partly by affiliate revenue owes readers a clear account of it.
Where affiliate links appear
On merchant profiles and payment provider profiles, the outbound button may be an affiliate link. Where it is, the profile says so directly beneath the button, and the page carries a disclosure notice.
Guides may contain affiliate links to merchants or providers discussed. Those pages carry a disclosure at the top.
How our data keeps this separate
This is a structural point rather than a promise, and it is worth explaining.
Every merchant record in our system stores two distinct fields: website, which is the merchant’s
real canonical URL, and affiliate_url, which is a tracked link. They are separate fields, and the
canonical website is always displayed on the profile regardless of whether an affiliate link exists.
You can always see and use the merchant’s actual URL. The commercial link never replaces the factual record of where a business lives.
What affiliate relationships do not affect
Whether a merchant is listed. We list merchants because they belong in the directory. Many of the merchants here have no affiliate programme at all, and several of the best entries never will.
What we say about them. Coin support, network support, limitations, refund policies, KYC requirements and verification status are determined by evidence, not by commercial relationship.
Verification status. A verified badge requires passing the check set out in our verification methodology. An affiliate relationship does not shorten that process or lower the bar.
Ordering. Merchant ordering is driven by paid placement tiers — which are labelled Sponsored or Featured — and otherwise by verification status and name. Commission rate is not an input.
Whether we mention a downside. If a merchant has a limitation worth knowing about, it goes on the page, affiliate relationship or not. Several profiles on this site tell you to consider paying by card instead.
Advertising and paid placement
Separately from affiliate links, we intend to offer paid listing tiers and sponsored placements. See advertise for the current state of that.
Paid placements are always labelled. A Sponsored or Featured badge means a commercial relationship exists. An unlabelled listing means one does not.
FTC and regulatory position
This disclosure is intended to satisfy the US Federal Trade Commission’s endorsement guides and equivalent requirements elsewhere. If you believe a specific page lacks adequate disclosure, tell us and we will fix it.
In short
StablecoinSpend may earn a commission when you use certain links. This does not affect which merchants we list, how we rank them, or what we report about their payment options.
