Money can buy placement. Money cannot buy a factual claim.

Everything on this site rests on one thing: that a Verified badge means an editor checked, against sources you can open yourself, on a date we publish. The moment that badge is for sale it is worth nothing — to readers, and therefore to the merchants who have earned it.

So the line is drawn in code, not in a policy document.

What a plan does buy

  • Priority in the review queue — days instead of the open backlog.
  • A larger profile: logo, extended description, more links, payment notes.
  • Labelled placement at the top of relevant category hubs.
  • Faster re-review when your payment stack changes.
  • Performance reporting on your listing.

What no amount of money buys

  • A Verified badge without the evidence that earns one.
  • A stablecoin, network or country added to your record that you cannot document.
  • A more recent last-checked date than the check that actually happened.
  • Removal or downranking of a competitor.
  • Review of an article, report or comparison before it is published.
  • Indexation. Search visibility follows verification, and nothing else.

Three surfaces are available to sponsor: a category hub, an issue of The Stablecoin Spend Report, or a quarterly research report. Each is exclusive for its period and each is labelled as sponsored where it appears — in the page, in the email, and in the report PDF if one exists.

Sponsorship does not come with editorial input. If we publish a report finding that adoption of your product is flat, that is what the report will say, and the sponsorship disclosure will sit above it. We would rather lose the renewal than have a reader wonder which parts of a research page were paid for.

Pricing questions

Does paying get my business a Verified badge?
No, and this is the one thing we will not negotiate on. Verified means an editor confirmed your payment options against your own documentation, recorded the sources, and dated the check. A paid plan moves you to the front of the review queue and unlocks a richer profile — it changes when we look, not what we find. If the evidence does not support a claim, the badge does not appear, and we will refund rather than issue it.
What if my listing fails verification after I have paid?
You keep every enhanced-profile feature you paid for, and the profile clearly shows the verification status the evidence supports — usually "payment availability may vary". We will tell you exactly what we could not confirm and what would settle it, which is normally one page on your own site naming the assets you accept. Re-review is free and unlimited on a paid plan.
Is a free listing worse than a paid one?
It is smaller, not weaker. A free listing appears in every relevant hub, in search, in the Spending Finder, in comparisons and in the dataset, and it can carry a Verified badge exactly as a paid one can. What it does not get is priority review, the extended profile, or placement.
How is Featured placement labelled?
With a "Featured" badge on every card, on every surface where the listing appears, always. Sponsored placements carry a "Sponsored" badge. We do not run paid placement that looks like editorial ranking, and the labels are rendered from the same data that sets the placement, so one cannot appear without the other.
Can a sponsor influence what a merchant profile says?
No. Sponsors get a logo, a sentence and a labelled placement. They get no review of copy before publication, no say in which merchants appear in a category or in what order beyond their own placement, and no influence over a verification status — including their own.
Can I pay to have a competitor removed or downranked?
No. This is worth stating plainly because it gets asked. Listings are removed when the evidence stops supporting them, and for no other reason.
How do I cancel?
Email us and we will stop the renewal. Featured and sponsorship placements run to the end of the paid period. Your listing stays — a free listing is the floor, not a punishment for leaving.
Do you take payment in stablecoins?
Not yet, which we are aware is an awkward answer from this particular site. Card and bank transfer today; a stablecoin option is on the roadmap and we would rather ship it properly than announce it.
