Ben Watches' crypto page is short and specific. "We accept crypto payments with Bitcoin (BTC) and Tether (USDT) for all luxury watches listed on our website." Pricing: "All prices quoted in GBP are converted to BTC (or other cryptocurrencies) at the spot rate plus a nominal fee of 2% to account for price fluctuations and transaction costs." Mechanics: "We use a third-party service provider to accept cryptocurrency payments," Bitcoin invoices are payable within 24 hours and "payments in cryptocurrencies other than Bitcoin (BTC) must be made within 30 minutes of placing an order" — so a USDT payment has a half-hour window. The site's page title adds Ethereum, Solana, Litecoin and Dogecoin to the list, but the body text names only BTC and USDT; we record the body. Neither the provider nor the USDT network is named, and with Tether on half a dozen chains that is the detail to confirm before sending a five-figure sum. The 2% fee is unusual in being stated; most dealers bury it in the rate.
Not documented for crypto payments on the pages we read. The dealer's terms and conditions govern returns; a payment through a third-party crypto provider at a converted GBP price would be refunded, if at all, by the dealer rather than reversed on chain.
Stablecoin refunds are outbound payments a merchant chooses to send, not automatic reversals. There is no chargeback.
Ben Watches sells the watches collectors argue about rather than the ones they queue for, and it takes Tether for all of them.
Bitcoin and USDT, for every watch on the site, converted from the GBP price at spot plus 2%. A Bitcoin invoice can be paid within 24 hours; anything else — which for our purposes means USDT — within 30 minutes of ordering. A third-party provider handles the payment. That is the whole statement, and it is enough.
Which network, and which provider. USDT exists on Ethereum, Tron, Solana, Polygon and more, and a transfer on the wrong one to a provider’s address is not recoverable. The invoice will name it; read the invoice.
Two percent, “to account for price fluctuations and transaction costs”. Most dealers who take crypto through a gateway pay a fee of roughly that size and fold it into the price; Ben Watches writes it down. On a stablecoin payment the “fluctuation” half of that justification is small, but the fee applies to every coin alike.
The 1916 Company names USDC and USDT through BitPay across US showrooms; BitDials sells for crypto only. The watches category compares the routes.
An editor confirmed these payment options against the sources listed below.
The merchant's own crypto page names Tether explicitly as an accepted payment for all listed watches, states the 2% conversion fee and the 30-minute window for non-Bitcoin payments, and says a third-party provider is used. That is merchant documentation naming the coin, sufficient for a verified status without a live purchase, which we did not make. The page title lists more coins than the body; we follow the body. No network and no provider are named, so those fields are empty. Locations and the fifteen-year claim are from the homepage's about section; no registered company name is shown on the pages we read and none is asserted. We have not adopted review-site scores.

Payment options change without notice. If Ben Watches’s checkout no longer matches what is on this page, tell us — an editor re-verifies against the merchant’s own documentation before anything changes here.
Reports go to a review queue. They never change a listing directly.
