Informational only
StablecoinSpend is an informational directory. Nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice, and nothing here should be relied on as a recommendation to buy, sell, hold or use any asset, service or merchant.
If you need advice about your situation, consult a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.
We do not handle money
StablecoinSpend does not custody cryptocurrency, does not process transactions, and is not a party to any payment you make to a merchant listed here.
We never publish merchant wallet addresses. Payment instructions must come from the merchant’s own checkout process. If you ever see a wallet address attributed to a merchant on a third-party site — including any site claiming to be us — treat it as fraudulent.
Merchant information may be wrong or out of date
Stablecoin acceptance changes without notice. A merchant that accepted USDC when we checked may not accept it today.
Every merchant profile carries a verification status and a date. Read them. A listing marked unverified has not been independently confirmed and should be treated as a lead rather than a statement of fact. Our verification methodology explains exactly what each status means.
Always confirm payment options directly with the merchant, at their own checkout, before you pay.
We do not endorse merchants
Listing a merchant is not an endorsement. We verify — where we say we have verified — that a payment method appears to be accepted. We do not verify that a business is solvent, competent, honest, or will deliver what you paid for.
Conduct your own diligence, particularly for high-value purchases and merchants you have not used before.
Risks of stablecoin payments
Paying on-chain carries risks that card payments do not:
Transactions are generally irreversible. Once confirmed, a blockchain transaction cannot be undone. There is no chargeback, no dispute process at the network level, and no support desk that can reverse it.
Sending on the wrong network can permanently lose funds. Every stablecoin exists as a separate token on each network. Sending to a correct address on the wrong chain may be unrecoverable.
Address errors are unrecoverable. A transfer to a mistyped or wrong address is generally gone.
Stablecoins can lose their peg. A stablecoin is a claim on an issuer or a protocol, not a bank deposit. Issuers can fail, reserves can be inadequate, protocols can break, and pegs have broken before.
Regulatory status varies and changes. The legal treatment of stablecoins differs by country and is actively evolving. Availability of a coin or service in your jurisdiction can change.
Tax consequences may apply. In many jurisdictions, spending a crypto asset is a disposal and may be a reportable event even where the asset is a stablecoin. Seek professional advice.
Before you send any payment, verify
- The blockchain network matches what the merchant’s checkout specifies
- The recipient address is the one shown at that checkout, copied not typed
- The stablecoin and contract are the ones requested — native rather than bridged where specified
- The amount matches the invoice exactly
- The network fee is reasonable for the amount you are sending
For a large payment, send a small test transfer first.
