Verified August 2026: Surfshark states plainly that it does not control which coins are accepted — CoinGate does, and the list can change without notice. Crypto payment is not available on mobile devices. Subscriptions bought with crypto are prepaid fixed terms rather than recurring charges.
Refunds
Surfshark states that for payments made in cryptocurrency, the equivalent amount in US dollars is refunded in the same cryptocurrency, at the exchange rate at the moment of refund. That is a clearer commitment than most providers in this category make.
Stablecoin refunds are outbound payments a merchant chooses to send, not automatic reversals. There is no chargeback.
Surfshark’s distinguishing feature is unlimited simultaneous connections, which changes the economics for households and small teams.
Why unlimited devices matters
Most providers cap simultaneous connections at five or six. For a household with several people and a dozen devices between them, or a small team, that cap is the binding constraint rather than speed or server count.
One subscription covering everything makes the per-device cost fall away, which is a more relevant consideration than any payment detail.
