A dash means we found no evidence of support, not that support is impossible. Coin availability at checkout can differ by country and product.
Pay on the cheapest network offered — airBaltic receives the same amount either way, so the fee comes out of your side. Our network comparison covers which to pick.
Verified August 2026: airBaltic is one of very few airlines accepting crypto directly rather than through an agency, which simplifies refunds because there is no intermediary. The payment runs through BitPay, so the coin list is BitPay's. airBaltic's documentation indicates crypto payment applies to Basic fares only — confirm at checkout if you are booking a higher fare class.
Airline fare rules apply directly, with no agency in between. Refund handling for crypto-paid tickets is airBaltic's own process.
Stablecoin refunds are outbound payments a merchant chooses to send, not automatic reversals. There is no chargeback.
airBaltic is the rare case of an airline accepting crypto directly, which removes the agency layer that complicates refunds everywhere else in this category.
When you buy a ticket from an agency, a refund travels back through the agency, and the agency decides how to return money that arrived on-chain. Buying directly from the carrier removes that layer. The fare rules are the carrier’s, the refund is the carrier’s, and there is one party to deal with rather than two.
For a ticket you might need to change, that is a genuine advantage over agency booking.
A European short and medium-haul network. Useful if you are flying within its region; irrelevant otherwise. This is not a global booking platform.
Crypto payment is confirmed, but the exact coin list is not fixed — it can depend on your country, the product, which checkout you reach, or which assets the merchant's payment gateway currently enables.
airBaltic lists BitPay as a payment option on its own payment-options page. It does not name individual coins. Separate airBaltic documentation states that Bitcoin payments are available for Basic fares only, and that restriction may extend to other assets. The coin list is BitPay's rather than one the merchant publishes, so it tracks whatever BitPay currently supports: USDC, USDT, DAI, PYUSD, USDP, GUSD and EURC across Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon and Solana.
Payment availability can change without notice. Always confirm at airBaltic’s own checkout before paying. Spotted something wrong?
