The checkout is Shopify's, and the Solana Pay option is provided by Helio's Shopify plugin, now branded MoonPay Commerce. Solana Mobile's own words, from a July 2026 blog post promoting a summer discount: "use code CARDS20 at checkout for 20% off and a free $50 Collector Crypt gacha spin when paying with SKR or stablecoins through Solana Pay." That promotion ended on 30 August 2026; the payment option is what we record, not the offer. Helio's plugin documentation says payments "settle in USDC by default" and that swaps are enabled so a customer can "pay with any Solana token while you receive USDC", with the merchant able to restrict accepted tokens — which is why USDC is the one stablecoin claimed and why the status is "may vary": what the store has configured is not published. Because Solana Pay ties the order to a wallet address, the promotion could drop rewards to the paying wallet, which is the practical reason the store favours it.

A phone built around a blockchain, sold for the blockchain’s stablecoin. The surprise is not that Solana Mobile takes USDC on Solana; it is how little the company says about it.

What the merchant says

One sentence, in a blog post about a summer promotion: buyers get a discount and a bonus “when paying with SKR or stablecoins through Solana Pay”. That establishes three things — the store takes crypto, the route is Solana Pay, and stablecoins are among the accepted assets — and leaves one open: which stablecoins. Solana Mobile does not name them.

Why the record says USDC

Solana Pay on Shopify is delivered by Helio’s plugin, and Helio’s documentation is specific: payments settle in USDC by default, and a swap feature lets customers pay with other Solana tokens while the merchant still receives USDC. A merchant can narrow what it accepts. We do not know how Solana Mobile has configured it, so USDC — the one asset every configuration settles to — is the only stablecoin claimed, and the badge says “may vary”. If you hold USDT or PYUSD on Solana the option may well appear at checkout; we simply cannot show you a page that says so.

Practicalities

Solana Pay means Solana. USDC on Ethereum, Base or Polygon will not work here without a bridge. The order is tied to the paying wallet, which is how the summer promotion delivered its rewards and is a reasonable thing to know about your privacy. Payments are irreversible on the gateway’s side; returns go through the store’s published policy.

Crypto payment is confirmed, but the exact coin list is not fixed — it can depend on your country, the product, which checkout you reach, or which assets the merchant's payment gateway currently enables.

The merchant statement is on solanamobile.com: a company blog post of July 2026 tells buyers they can pay "with SKR or stablecoins through Solana Pay" at the Seeker store. It names no stablecoin. The store itself (store.solanamobile.com, backed by solana-mobile.myshopify.com) describes "secure checkout via Shopify" and its terms of sale refer to "authorizing a transaction using a third-party wallet provider", consistent with a wallet-based option, but the payment step is behind the order flow and we did not reach it. Solana Pay on Shopify is delivered by Helio's plugin, whose documentation gives USDC as the default settlement asset with optional swaps from other Solana tokens; we record USDC on that basis and nothing else. A third-party report that USDC, USDT and PYUSD were all accepted during the summer promotion is plausible and consistent with the swap feature, but it is not first-party and populates no field. Company identity, product and price are from the store and blog. StablecoinSpend has no relationship with Solana Mobile, Solana Labs or the Solana Foundation.
