Payment notes

Trezor's support article on payment methods says: "When paying with crypto, please select Confirmo" and "you can pay with Bitcoin (on-chain or via Lightning), Ether (Ethereum chain), USDC (Ethereum chain), Litecoin or Solana." You are shown an address on the Confirmo invoice and have 15 minutes to pay while the rate is held. A companion article on making crypto payments successfully adds the practical rules: send from a wallet that broadcasts at once rather than an exchange that batches withdrawals; send the crypto amount shown on the invoice, not a fiat conversion from your own wallet; watch for wallets that deduct the fee from the amount; and, specifically for ether and stablecoins, check the network on the invoice because "there are many Ethereum-based networks using the same address format". Unpaid orders are cancelled after a few hours. There is no Base option here despite Confirmo supporting it elsewhere — Trezor has configured USDC on Ethereum mainnet only, so budget for mainnet gas.

Stablecoin refunds are outbound payments a merchant chooses to send, not automatic reversals. There is no chargeback.

A hardware-wallet maker that takes a stablecoin for its hardware is a small, pleasing consistency. The details are more interesting than the headline.

One coin, one chain, stated by the merchant

Trezor’s support article lists what its Confirmo checkout accepts: bitcoin on-chain or over Lightning, ether, “USDC (Ethereum chain)”, litecoin and SOL. That parenthetical is the merchant naming the network, which most stores leave to the gateway. It also rules things out: no USDT, and no USDC on Base or Polygon even though Confirmo supports both at other merchants. If you hold USDC on a cheap network you will be bridging to mainnet and paying mainnet gas to buy a hardware wallet, which is a mild irony worth pricing in.

The checkout rules

Fifteen minutes to pay at a held rate. Send from a wallet that broadcasts immediately — Trezor says outright that exchanges, which batch withdrawals, are a bad idea and a common cause of failed orders. Send the crypto amount printed on the invoice rather than converting a fiat figure yourself, because your wallet’s rate will differ and an underpayment fails. And check the network on the invoice before sending ether or a stablecoin; Trezor’s own warning is that many Ethereum-based networks share the same address format.

Refunds come back as bitcoin

This is the part to read twice. If you return an order paid in crypto, the refund is paid in BTC — whatever you paid with — at the bitcoin rate on the day the refund is processed, to an address you provide, once a week. Pay 219 euros in USDC, return the device, and you receive 219 euros’ worth of bitcoin at that day’s price. That is not a complaint, just a fact a stablecoin user would not guess.

Three articles in Trezor's own support centre carry the whole record. "Payment methods accepted in the Trezor Shop" names Confirmo as the gateway and lists the assets, with "USDC (Ethereum chain)" stated verbatim — the merchant naming both the coin and the network, which is as good as documentation gets short of a live checkout, which we did not run. "Crypto payments on the Trezor Shop" gives the 15-minute window, the exchange warning and the network check. "Trezor refund process: timelines and payment methods" documents the bitcoin refund rule, and the 15-day return article the return window. Shipping coverage ("over 200 countries and territories") is from the countries-we-ship-to article. Our earlier search for "USDC on Base" at Trezor turned up wallet marketing, not checkout evidence; the checkout is Ethereum only.
