Payment notes
Menufy no longer accepts cryptocurrency. The company added a dated note to its own cryptocurrency article on 14 July 2025 stating this plainly, which is more transparency than most merchants offer when they switch a payment method off. We keep the listing because people still search for it and because the history is genuinely informative: until 2025 this was the clearest example of stablecoins working for everyday food ordering at scale, and its withdrawal is a real data point about that use case.
Menufy builds online ordering for independent restaurants — the white-label menu and checkout behind thousands of takeaway sites across the United States. In September 2020 it expanded its BitPay integration from Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash to thirteen assets, four of which were dollar stablecoins. In July 2025 it turned the whole thing off.
Why a switched-off merchant is worth a page
Directories are usually built to answer “who accepts this?” and go quiet when the answer becomes “nobody, any more”. That is a mistake, for two reasons.
The first is practical. People searching “can I pay Menufy with crypto” deserve a straight answer, and a missing page is not one. They will otherwise find the 2020 press coverage, which is still online, still confident, and now wrong.
The second is that this particular withdrawal says something. Everyday consumer spending — ordering dinner — is the use case stablecoin advocates reach for most often, and Menufy was the best real example of it in this category: not a crypto-native store, not a luxury marketplace, just several thousand ordinary restaurants where you could pay for a pizza in USDC. It ran for nearly five years and then stopped.
We do not know why. Menufy’s note is one sentence and gives no reason. Reasonable guesses include low volume, BitPay integration cost, or a payments consolidation — but they would be guesses, and this record is not the place for them.
What was accepted, for the historical record
Thirteen assets, processed by BitPay, from September 2020:
Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, XRP, Shiba Inu, Wrapped Bitcoin, and Dai, plus four US dollar stablecoins — Gemini Dollar (GUSD), USD Coin (USDC), Paxos Standard (PAX, now USDP**)** and Binance USD (BUSD).
Two of those four no longer really exist as going concerns: BUSD was wound down from 2023, and Paxos rebranded PAX to USDP. That alone dates the integration.
If you want to pay for food with stablecoins today
There is no direct equivalent in this directory, which is itself the finding. The workable route is a gift card: Bitrefill, Coinsbee and CoinCards all sell food-delivery and restaurant credit for stablecoins, and the card is then spent normally. You pay a small spread for the indirection and you lose the directness, but it works today, which Menufy does not.
Verification
We believe this merchant has stopped accepting stablecoin payments. Kept for reference.
Menufy's own article on cryptocurrency payments now opens with an update dated 14 July 2025 stating that "Menufy no longer accepts cryptocurrency as a payment option." The same article documents what was previously accepted: thirteen assets processed by BitPay, including four US dollar-pegged stablecoins — Gemini Dollar (GUSD), USD Coin (USDC), Paxos Standard (PAX, now USDP) and Binance USD (BUSD) — alongside BTC, BCH, ETH, DOGE, XRP, SHIB, WBTC, DAI and LTC. The stablecoins array is empty because nothing is accepted today.
