A dash means we found no evidence of support, not that support is impossible. Coin availability at checkout can differ by country and product.
FARFETCH's own announcement of 6 October 2022 said the marketplace would "initially accept six cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USD Coin (USDC), among others", that customers "will simply need to scan the QR code displayed on the screen at checkout", and in its note to editors that "TripleA processes cryptocurrency payments on FARFETCH's behalf, supporting Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USD Coin (USDC) and more." Triple-A's 2026 case study describes the current arrangement as a white-labelled checkout — "no redirects or third-party branding" — with real-time conversion to fiat at a locked rate and next-day settlement to the merchant, and reports a 75% repeat-purchase rate and 56% higher average order value on stablecoin transactions than on USD payments; those are the gateway's figures about its client, not ours. What you will see, then, is a payment step that looks like FARFETCH, a QR code or wallet prompt, and a rate held for a short window. Which stablecoins beyond USDC and which networks are offered is not stated anywhere we could read, so check the payment page before moving funds — and given the ticket sizes here, check it twice.
Not documented for crypto payments. FARFETCH's standard returns policy applies to the goods; Triple-A settles to the merchant in fiat, so a refund would be issued by FARFETCH rather than reversed on chain, and the method of that refund is not published.
Stablecoin refunds are outbound payments a merchant chooses to send, not automatic reversals. There is no chargeback.
Luxury retail was the first mainstream sector to try crypto checkouts and the first to quietly drop most of them. FARFETCH is one that kept going, and the evidence for that comes from an unusual direction: the payment company’s marketing rather than the merchant’s help pages.
FARFETCH’s own release named the essentials — six cryptocurrencies “including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USD Coin (USDC)”, a QR code at checkout, 37 countries, and “TripleA processes cryptocurrency payments on FARFETCH’s behalf”. That page has since disappeared from aboutfarfetch.com, so we cite the archived copy and say so.
Triple-A’s case study describes FARFETCH as a current client with a white-labelled stablecoin checkout, quotes its head of payments, and claims stablecoin buyers repeat more often and spend more per order. Those numbers are the gateway’s, about its own client, and belong in the note rather than the record — but the study is good evidence that the option did not lapse.
farfetch.com refused every request we made, including its payment help pages. So we do not know today’s coin list beyond USDC, do not know the networks, and do not know whether the 37 countries have grown or shrunk. Given that a typical order here is in the hundreds or thousands of dollars, treat the payment page as the source of truth and confirm the network before sending.
Alza and Newegg are the other large general retailers here; Trip.com and Eskimo are the other merchants reported or announced on Triple-A. The Triple-A profile covers the gateway.
Crypto payment is confirmed, but the exact coin list is not fixed — it can depend on your country, the product, which checkout you reach, or which assets the merchant's payment gateway currently enables.
The merchant's own press release of 6 October 2022 names USDC and Triple-A; it has since been removed from aboutfarfetch.com, which now returns a not-found page for it, so we read it from the Internet Archive and cite it as archived. Its currency is established by Triple-A's 2026 case study, which treats FARFETCH as a live client and quotes its head of payments twice, though the case study says "stablecoin" and "digital currency" without naming a coin or a network. farfetch.com itself returned HTTP 403 to every request we made, including its help and payment pages, so we could not read the merchant's current payment-method list — the main reason the status is "may vary" rather than verified. Countries are recorded as unpublished: "37 countries" is FARFETCH's own figure and the list was never released. The performance statistics in the case study are the gateway's marketing and are quoted as such, not adopted.
Payment availability can change without notice. Always confirm at FARFETCH’s own checkout before paying. Spotted something wrong?
Work at FARFETCH? Claim this listing to correct what we have recorded. Claims are checked against evidence before anything changes. Or feature your business — placement is labelled and never changes the facts above.
Dated history for this record. We log only changes we can evidence, so an entry here reflects something that actually moved — not routine re-checking. The full feed across every merchant is on What’s Changed .

Get notified when its stablecoin payment options change — a coin added or dropped, a gateway switch, or acceptance withdrawn. Dated and sourced, or not sent.
Double opt-in. Nothing is sent until you confirm, and every email links to manage or unfollow.
Payment options change without notice. If FARFETCH’s checkout no longer matches what is on this page, tell us — an editor re-verifies against the merchant’s own documentation before anything changes here.
Reports go to a review queue. They never change a listing directly.
