Leibish's Cryptocurrency Payment Policy is one of the clearest in the directory. Accepted assets, "through our payment partner": "Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, DAI, USDC, ApeCoin, Shiba Inu, Wrapped Bitcoin, XRP, Binance USD, Gemini Dollar, Pax Dollar. All crypto transactions are processed securely via BitPay." Eligibility: "Crypto payments are available for online orders only." Pricing: products are priced in USD and converted at checkout "using the current exchange rate provided by our payment processor", a rate that "is time-sensitive and must be paid promptly". Processing: orders ship "upon full payment confirmation on the blockchain network. This may take up to a few hours depending on network congestion." Refunds: "All crypto transactions are final. Refunds for orders paid in cryptocurrency will be issued in USD to a bank account, not in crypto ... based on the product price at the time of purchase, excluding any crypto exchange rate fluctuations", within up to 14 business days. Taxes and duties are the buyer's regardless of method. The policy names the coins but not the networks; BitPay's invoice offers Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon and Solana for USDC, and Ethereum for the others, so that field is left to the invoice.

Stablecoin refunds are outbound payments a merchant chooses to send, not automatic reversals. There is no chargeback.

Most merchants that take crypto publish a coin list and stop. Leibish published a policy, and the policy answers the questions a buyer of a five-figure diamond would actually ask.

What it says

Fourteen assets through BitPay, four of them stablecoins this directory tracks — DAI, USDC, Gemini Dollar, Pax Dollar — plus the retired Binance USD, which we leave out. Online orders only; the showroom and the phone need a representative’s say-so. A rate that must be paid promptly. Shipping after on-chain confirmation, which “may take up to a few hours”. And a fraud clause: Leibish may delay or decline a crypto transaction and will contact you.

The refund rule

“All crypto transactions are final. Refunds for orders paid in cryptocurrency will be issued in USD to a bank account, not in crypto.” At the product price when you bought, excluding exchange-rate movement, within fourteen business days. For a stablecoin buyer that is close to neutral; for a Bitcoin buyer it means the refund is dollars while the coins you sent are gone at whatever price they were. It is the clearest statement of a rule that applies, unstated, at almost every jeweller and watch dealer here.

What to check at the invoice

The network. Leibish names coins, not chains; BitPay’s invoice will offer USDC on six networks and the other stablecoins on Ethereum. For a purchase this size the fee is immaterial, but the match between the chain you send on and the one the invoice shows is not.

Capucinne names USDC and DAI through Coinbase; CRM Jewelers uses BitPay in Miami. The 1916 Company sells jewellery as well as watches for USDC. The jewelry category compares them.

The merchant's own Cryptocurrency Payment Policy names DAI, USDC, Gemini Dollar and Pax Dollar, names BitPay, and states the online-only rule, the rate sensitivity, the processing rule and the dollar-refund rule; the payment-options page repeats the list. That is merchant documentation naming the coins, sufficient for a verified status without a live purchase, which we did not make. No network is named by the merchant, so the field is empty and BitPay's list is cited for mechanics only. Binance USD is excluded as no longer issued; its presence dates the list, as at several BitPay merchants. The operating entity and address are from the site footer. "Sometimes" for identity reflects Leibish's stated right to verify suspicious transactions and BitPay's own thresholds.
