A dash means we found no evidence of support, not that support is impossible. Coin availability at checkout can differ by country and product.
The launch is real and dated — 28 July 2026, on emirates.com and the Emirates app. What neither Emirates nor Crypto.com will say is which assets you can actually pay with. Both announcements describe "Crypto.com Pay" and stop there. Crypto.com Pay as a product supports a long list including USDT and USDC, and pre-launch reporting said 30-plus assets would be eligible, but the airline has published nothing and we will not turn a product capability into an acceptance claim. Treat this as: crypto payment at Emirates is live, in the UAE, in AED, and you should check the Crypto.com Pay screen for which balance it will draw from.
Emirates flying with a crypto checkout is the kind of thing that generates a great many headlines and rather little usable detail. Here is what is actually established.
On 28 July 2026 Emirates switched on Crypto.com Pay across emirates.com and the Emirates app. Both companies published it. The integration followed a memorandum of understanding signed in mid-2025 and, by Crypto.com’s own account, most of the intervening year went on obtaining the UAE regulatory permissions rather than on engineering.
It is limited in two ways that matter:
If you are booking Emirates from London or Sydney, this does not apply to you.
Neither announcement names a single asset. Not Bitcoin, not USDT, not USDC. Both say “Crypto.com Pay” and leave it there.
Crypto.com Pay as a product certainly can handle stablecoins, and reporting ahead of the launch put the figure at more than thirty supported assets with USDT and USDC among them. That reporting may well be right. It is still reporting, and this directory does not convert a payment provider’s general capability into a specific merchant’s acceptance claim — the two come apart often enough that the distinction is worth defending. See our verification methodology for why.
So the coin list on this record is empty, and will stay empty until Emirates or Crypto.com publishes one.
Crypto.com Pay is account-based. You are not scanning a QR code and broadcasting a transaction from a hardware wallet; you are authorising a payment from a balance held inside a KYC’d Crypto.com account, which the provider then settles to Emirates in dirhams.
That has consequences worth weighing. It is fast and it will not strand your funds on the wrong chain — the two commonest failure modes elsewhere in this directory simply do not arise. It also means the transaction is fully identified, so if your reason for paying in stablecoins is privacy rather than convenience, this does not deliver it. And your assets need to be inside Crypto.com already; moving them there is its own transfer, with its own network choice and fee.
This is the second major brand in the directory to launch stablecoin-adjacent payments through Crypto.com Pay in a single country — Sony’s Singapore store did the same in 2025, with USDC named explicitly. The shape recurs: a large, compliance-heavy company, one market, an account-based provider that keeps the merchant away from on-chain settlement entirely. It is how conservative brands are entering this, and it is quite different from the wallet-to-gateway model that most hosting companies and marketplaces use.
Crypto payment is confirmed, but the exact coin list is not fixed — it can depend on your country, the product, which checkout you reach, or which assets the merchant's payment gateway currently enables.
Emirates and Crypto.com published a joint announcement dated 28 July 2026 confirming that Crypto.com Pay is live on emirates.com and the Emirates app, available to eligible UAE residents for bookings priced and settled in AED. Neither the Emirates media-centre release nor the Crypto.com company-news post names a single cryptocurrency or stablecoin. Because no asset is named by either party, the stablecoins and networks arrays are empty and the status is "may vary" — crypto acceptance is confirmed, the specific coin list is not. Pre-launch press reported that USDT and USDC would be among 30-plus supported assets; that is third-party and we have not used it to populate any field.
Payment availability can change without notice. Always confirm at Emirates’s own checkout before paying. Spotted something wrong?

Dated history for this record. We log only changes we can evidence, so an entry here reflects something that actually moved — not routine re-checking. The full feed across every merchant is on What’s Changed .
Added to directory
Added after confirming the July 2026 launch against both parties' announcements. No stablecoin claimed, because neither party names one.
