Payment notes

Verified September 2026. Destinia's own FAQ enumerates the accepted assets rather than deferring to the gateway, which is rare for a travel booking site. Three of them are live USD stablecoins: USDC, Gemini Dollar and Paxos Standard (now USDP). BUSD is also listed but Paxos stopped issuing it, so treat that entry as stale. USDT is not accepted. Payment runs through BitPay. Bookings are time-sensitive — a slow confirmation can outlast the fare hold, so pay promptly after the invoice opens.

Refunds

Governed by the underlying rate conditions. European consumer protection rules may apply depending on your location and the booking.

Stablecoin refunds are outbound payments a merchant chooses to send, not automatic reversals. There is no chargeback.

Destinia is a long-established European travel agency and one of the more useful entries here for anyone booking from within Europe.

Euro pricing changes the arithmetic

Most travel platforms accepting crypto price in dollars. A euro-priced agency paid in a euro stablecoin removes a conversion entirely — see EURC for why that matters more than it sounds.

In Destinia’s case the answer is no — the published list is USD-denominated, so a euro booking paid in USDC still crosses one conversion. Useful to know before assuming otherwise.

Market coverage

Strong across Europe, Latin America and the Middle East, with pricing and available payment methods that vary by market. The site presents differently depending on where you visit from.

An editor confirmed these payment options against the sources listed below.

Destinia's cryptocurrency FAQ lists BTC, BCH, ETH, XRP, USDC, GUSD, PAX, BUSD and LTC, with BitPay branding on the page. We record USDC, GUSD and USDP (the renamed PAX). BUSD is omitted from the structured data because issuance has ceased. USDT is absent from the list, so the seed record's USDT claim was wrong and has been removed.
