A dash means we found no evidence of support, not that support is impossible. Coin availability at checkout can differ by country and product.
Which network each coin is accepted on, exactly as Bitgild documents it. A coin and a network appearing in the same record does not by itself mean the two go together.
Pay on the cheapest network offered — Bitgild receives the same amount either way, so the fee comes out of your side. Our network comparison covers which to pick.
Bitgild is one of the few merchants anywhere that lets you shop in a stablecoin: the currency switcher at the top of every page offers EUR, USD, GBP, BTC, ETH, DAI, USDT and USDC, and choosing one reprices the whole catalogue. The homepage states: "We accept Bitcoin and stablecoins on several networks including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, and Tron," and, under "Self-hosted crypto payments", that "all crypto transactions are processed without third-party involvement". The terms of service set the mechanics: payment within 15 minutes of the invoice date, at the rate on the invoice, with the customer in default after that. A Travel Rule note on the about page gives the company details an exchange may ask for when you withdraw to Bitgild — Bitgild Bullion B.V., Chamber of Commerce 93835507 — which tells you the dealer expects exchange withdrawals and has thought about the compliance friction. For a USDC order, Arbitrum or Base will cost a fraction of a cent in gas against Ethereum's several dollars; the merchant lists both.
Documented in the terms. "By paying with cryptocurrencies consumers accept that refunds and partial refunds in cryptocurrencies will be calculated based on the actual exchange rate and the invoice amount in EUR" — only the euro value on the invoice is refunded. For a stablecoin payment that is roughly whole; for Bitcoin it is not. Damaged and lost packages are handled by replacement or refund under separate articles of the terms.
Stablecoin refunds are outbound payments a merchant chooses to send, not automatic reversals. There is no chargeback.
A gold dealer whose price list you can read in USDC. Bitgild has been converting crypto into metal since 2013, and it shows in the details a newer entrant would not have thought of.
The currency switcher offers DAI, USDT and USDC alongside euros, pounds and dollars. Pick one and every bar, coin and chart is priced in it, which removes the mental arithmetic that makes most crypto checkouts feel like a currency exchange. The homepage names the networks — Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base and Tron — as a group rather than per coin, so read the invoice: Tron will be for USDT, and for USDC the cheap choices are Arbitrum and Base.
Bitgild says it processes crypto payments itself, “without third-party involvement”. There is no BitPay or CoinGate page; the invoice carries the address and the clock. Fifteen minutes from the invoice date, at the invoice rate, after which the terms put you in default. Have the funds on the right network before you place the order.
Article 7 of the terms: crypto refunds are calculated on “the invoice amount in EUR”. Pay in USDC and a refund is close to what you sent; pay in Bitcoin and it is whatever the euro value buys on the day. For a stablecoin holder that is a reason to prefer the stablecoin, and Bitgild’s own copy says as much.
The about page lists the company name, Chamber of Commerce number and address “if your wallet or exchange requests additional information under the Travel Rule”. That is a merchant that has watched customers get stuck at an exchange withdrawal screen and written the answer down.
Swiss Bullion and BTC Bullions are the other crypto-first dealers; Sharps Pixley is the traditional house. The precious metals category compares them.
An editor confirmed these payment options against the sources listed below.
Bitgild's own homepage names stablecoins and four networks; its currency switcher names USDC, USDT and DAI individually and reprices the catalogue in each; its terms document the 15-minute window and the euro-denominated refund rule; its about page gives the operating company and address. That is merchant documentation naming coin and network, which carries a verified status without a live purchase, which we did not make. The networks are stated collectively rather than per coin, which the record notes. No gateway is involved — the merchant says its crypto payments are self-hosted — so there is no second source to cite and none is needed. The merchant's review scores are not adopted. Delivery coverage and collection terms are from the delivery page.
