Vultr is the largest cloud provider in this directory to name its stablecoins rather than gesture at a gateway. Its billing documentation lists them explicitly: USD Coin, Paxos and Gemini dollar, alongside Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Dogecoin and Litecoin, all through BitPay. Two practical notes. Crypto funds your account balance rather than settling a specific invoice, so this is a top-up flow, not a checkout — which also means it works with Vultr's hourly billing rather than fighting it. And no network is published for any asset, so read the chain off the BitPay screen before sending; BitPay carries USDC on several chains and the fee difference between them is large relative to a small credit top-up.
Refunds

Vultr sits in a category the rest of this directory’s hosting section mostly does not: a genuine cloud platform, comparable to DigitalOcean or Linode, rather than a VPS reseller. Compute, bare metal, Kubernetes, GPU instances, thirty-plus regions. It has taken cryptocurrency since 2014, and unlike most providers at that scale it says what it takes.
Naming the coins is the notable part
Most hosting companies write “we accept cryptocurrency” and link to a gateway. Vultr’s billing documentation gives the list:

Three stablecoins we track: USDC, USDP (listed under its old Paxos Standard name) and GUSD. That is a wider stablecoin list than most of the hosting sector manages, and it is stated by the merchant rather than inferred from its processor.
BUSD is on that list too, and we have left it out. Paxos was ordered to stop issuing Binance USD in February 2023; a page still carrying it three years later has not been fully reviewed in a while. That is worth knowing about the page even though the rest of it is plainly current.
The top-up model actually suits this one
Crypto funds your Vultr account balance rather than paying a specific invoice.
At most hosts we flag that as a limitation, because it means crypto cannot drive automatic renewal and you are doing a manual transfer every cycle. Here it fits better than usual: Vultr bills hourly against a running balance anyway, so topping up in USDC is the native flow rather than a workaround. Put enough credit on the account to cover a few months and the friction largely disappears.
What is missing
The network. Vultr names no chain for any asset, and neither does its BitPay listing.
BitPay carries USDC on several chains, and for a credit top-up of fifty or a hundred dollars the difference between paying on Ethereum mainnet and a layer 2 is a meaningful fraction of the amount. Read the chain off the BitPay checkout and match it in your wallet before sending — the standard advice, and the standard reason it matters.
Where it sits among the alternatives
Hostwinds and Time4VPS publish exact token-and-network matrices, which is better documentation than Vultr’s, but neither is a cloud platform of this scale. Cherry Servers is the closest comparison for bare metal and names its networks. If you want a real cloud API and stablecoin billing in the same product, this is the strongest option here.

Vultr's own billing documentation enumerates the accepted assets: "Digital Currencies via BitPay: Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE), Paxos (PAX), Binance USD (BUSD), Litecoin (LTC), USD Coin (USDC), and Gemini Dollar (GUSD)." Three of those are stablecoins this directory tracks — USDC, USDP (listed under its former Paxos Standard name) and GUSD — and they are recorded here. BUSD is excluded: Paxos ceased issuing it in February 2023, and its presence on an otherwise current page is a staleness signal worth noting rather than propagating. BitPay independently lists Vultr in its own merchant directory. No blockchain network is stated by either party, so the field is left empty.
