Every merchant record on StablecoinSpend is researched and maintained by the editorial team rather than by an individual byline. That is a deliberate choice, and it is worth being direct about why.

The unit of work here is not the article. It is the verification: opening a merchant’s own payment documentation, reading what it actually says, reaching a real checkout where that is possible, recording the URL, and writing down what the evidence does and does not establish. A single merchant record may be checked by one person and corrected by another six months later when a payment gateway changes its supported-asset list. Attributing that to one name would misrepresent how the work happens.

What the team publishes

The byline covers three kinds of output:

• Merchant records. Each carries its own verification block: status, date, method, and the source URLs a reader can open to check the claim independently.
• Guides. Explanatory writing about how stablecoin payments work in practice — fees, settlement, refunds, network choice — grounded in the same directory data.
• The Stablecoin Spend Index. Adoption statistics computed directly from the merchant database. No figure on that page is typed in by hand.

Standards we hold to

We do not publish an acceptance claim without a source. We do not mark a record verified on the strength of a third-party tracker — the schema physically prevents it. When the evidence contradicts a listing, the listing is corrected or withdrawn rather than softened. Several merchant profiles on this site tell readers that paying by card would serve them better; those paragraphs stay.

Where a record is uncertain, it says so. “We could not confirm which network this merchant settles on” is a publishable sentence, and a more useful one than a confident guess.

Named contributors

There are none yet. When a named researcher joins, they will appear here with a real biography and verifiable credentials, and their name will attach to the specific records and guides they worked on. Until then the institutional byline is the accurate one. We would rather show an honest organizational author than manufacture a persona — a practice common enough in this sector that readers are right to be suspicious of it.
